HRT Hospitality Showcase continued ...

Industry partners represented hotels, restaurants and tourism in the city of New Orleans. The Marriot culinary team presented a “Make Your Own Cupcake” station where students could decorate their cupcakes. Among other interactive catering tables, there was a Cane’s sauce station, a charcuterie board station and more.

Dr. Yvette Green, chair of the HRT department, said that with a crowd of 350 students, “the showcase was a great success; we were able to engage high school students and their teachers as well as our UNO HRT students. We are extremely fortunate to have amazing partnerships with our New Orleans hospitality and tourism industry.”
