Tina Wang ASME Award continued...
The award citation reads "For excellence and innovation in the design of the unique, one-of-a-kind TurboPiston Pump (TPP) employing fundamental fluid mechanics science and practical principles to achieve one-stage, high-pressure, and high-volume flow rate with lighter weight and a smaller footprint, which is transformative and benefits all engineering applications in general."
The success in development of TPP is a showcase of collaboration between the university laboratory and industrial partner Patrick Rousset of Power Engineering, Inc. Mr. Rousset is a 1982 alumnus of UNO mechanical engineering.
