Cybersecurity Grant continued . . .
... a one-year, $163,386 Louisiana Board of Regents: Cybersecurity Education Management Council grant for “Development of an Advanced Cybersecurity Certificate Program.” The project aims to complement and augment Louisiana’s existing cybersecurity workforce training by creating a set of advanced training courses in cybersecurity leading to a graduate certification program. Additionally, it offers a pathway to the MS in Cyber Security and Operations at UNO.
The courses will fit the one-week, 40-hour format typical of professional training courses, but the content will be compatible with the academic cyber curriculum. This will allow students to efficiently gain cyber skills for credit toward the UNO BS in computer science and MS in cybersecurity degrees while opening the door for working professionals seeking to acquire hands-on skills and job-relevant credentials.
