Her research focuses on innovative nonlinear structural control mechanisms to reduce vibrations in machinery and structures. She is also interested in exploring nature-inspired systems for structural control and their integration into energy harvesting solutions and in employing hybrid simulation techniques to gain a thorough understanding of these control mechanisms and their impact on structural behavior. 

This fall, Dr. Sarkar will teach ENCE 2351-Mechanics of Materials and ENCE 3356-Structures.
