Education Day is an annual event where we welcome hundreds of local grade school students at the arena. Students and their chaperons are given free game admission and a complimentary lunch. There will be interactive contests, games, presentations and educational activities throughout the morning, and then, the groups will attend the women's basketball game.
For the engineering competition, representatives from each local school — mentored by our engineering students and faculty — will build a small battery-operated wind-powered car that will race at half-time during the game. It is the highlight of the day!
