SciComm Summit continued . . .
Phoebe Zito, assistant professor in the Department of Chemistry; Wendy Schluchter, professor and chair of the Department of Biological Sciences, and biological sciences doctoral student Anastasia Konefal served on panels. UNO biology doctoral student Amanda Kirkland, a 2024 John A. Knauss Marine Policy Fellow, shared her fellowship experience with attendees.  Lydia Dipaola, master’s student in biological sciences, served on the planning committee.
The Summit drew more than 70 students from across the state, including 11 from UNO. The event included a series of panels, engaging speakers, concurrent breakout sessions and working groups. Participation was provided at no cost to graduate students through support from Louisiana Sea Grant and the National Sea Grant Office.
