Gulf Coast Bank

On October 29 Gulf Coast Bank presented “Financial Literacy” to students interested in banking or accounting, specifically managerial, associate and teller positions at Gulf Coast. Vice President and Director of Talent and Acquisitions Carlos Bello answered student questions about the many opportunities available at Gulf Coast Ban


Zenistry Labs

Zenistry Labs, a dynamic research and manufacturing laboratory catering to diverse industries, hosted the November 5 spotlight and talked with students about their company’s views on “Cosmetic Testing, Custom Formulation and Private Stock Formulas.” Zenistry CEO and Founder Lo Williams-Thomas says that she is "on a mission to redefine research and development (R&D) for skin health within the cosmetics industry.”


Marriott International

On November 7, Marriott International hosted the final spotlight of Fall 2024. Marriott hosts Hailey Rice (University Relations, Marriott International), Keith Schmitt (Human Resources Director, New Orleans Marriott and Brittany Lacayo (Human Resources Director, Ritz Carlton) spoke with students about recruiting processes for their Management Program. 
A large group of students attended and got some great advice on careers in the hospitality and hotel industries. 


Interview-Mania

The Business Career Coaching Center hosted its final event of the semester, Interview-mania, on November 12, prompting students to join by asking, “Do you have 15 minutes to advance your career?” This four-hour event helped students to practice their interview skills with faculty and real-world professionals including Northwestern Mutual representative Cam Mouton, Waffle House recruiter Jessica Herring (pictured left), and UNO instructors Susan Clade, Jaimee Carreras, and Gordon Payne.
During each session, students had a brief, 15-minute mock interview, allowing students to refine their interview question-and-answer techniques in a supportive and professional environment.
