U.S. News & World Report recognized Boca Regional as a
“High Performing Hospital” for maternity care
U.S. News evaluated hospitals nationwide that provide labor and delivery services and submitted detailed data to the publication for analysis; 817 hospitals, an all-time high, participated in this year’s U.S. News survey. Congratulations to our Toppel Family Place on earning the highest possible rating and this outstanding recognition!
This high-performing rating indicates results that are well above average in a range of objective quality measures, such as rates of unexpected complications, C-sections, and exclusive breast milk feeding.
“Besides having the busiest maternity program in Palm Beach County this past year, the Labor & Delivery team continues to provide a high level of care to our community each and every day,” explains Lincoln Mendez, North Region Executive, Baptist Health and CEO, Boca Raton Regional Hospital.
Unique to Toppel Family Place, patients receive postpartum mother/baby nursing care, which means the same nurses care for both mother and baby on each shift. Most care takes place in your room by a maternal/child nurse. They are at your side to answer questions, provide resources, share their knowledge, and help you develop your infant care skills. In addition, Boca Regional offers the Barbara C. Gutin Pre and Postpartum Program at the Christine E. Lynn Women’s Health & Wellness Institute. In collaboration with Toppel Family Place, the program addresses new parents' unique medical, emotional, and psychosocial needs before and after their child’s birth. The services include nurse navigation, pelvic physical therapy, group or individual counseling, infant feeding support, and nutrition education.
