PinkBall 2025: Celebrating Champions and the Fight Against Breast Cancer
PinkBall is more than just an event—it’s a celebration of community spirit and a powerful commitment to fighting breast cancer. Each year, PinkBall brings together local heroes, healthcare advocates, and community members for a day and evening of fun, inspiration, and support to raise funds for those in need of breast cancer screenings. The festivities kicked off with a star-studded PinkBall Wine & Dine dinner at the Boca Grove Country Club, setting a glamorous tone for the celebration. The excitement continued into the day with the 15th Annual PinkBall tournament, featuring softball, kickball, and a host of engaging activities that united everyone in the cause of advancing women's health services.
The second annual PinkBall Wine & Dine dinner took place on Friday, January 31, 2025, at the Boca Grove Country Club. Once again hosted by Boca Regional’s Michelle Stallone, Supervisor Imaging, Radiology-Mammography, Christine E. Lynn Women's Institute, the evening featured an exceptional dinner, drinks, auctions, and appearances by athletes of legendary status. Guests enjoyed the opportunity to connect and gear up for the following day’s 15th Annual PinkBall softball and kickball tournament at the South County Regional Park Softball Fields.
The 15th Annual PinkBall took place on Saturday, February 1st and offered a day packed with fun activities—from kickball and softball to a Legendary Athlete All-Star game, a home run derby, food trucks, bounce houses, and more!
Hometown heroes from the police, sheriff, and fire departments joined an impressive lineup, which included:
• Tanyon Sturtz – Honorary Chair
• Jorge Pasada
• Tom Gordon
• Cecil Fielder
• Orlando “El Duque” Hernandez
• Jeff Nelson
• Jim Leyritz
• Mike Pagliarulo
• Laynce Nix
• Gabe Johnson
• Darin Downs
• Rick Ankiel
• Frank Menechino
• Erik Coleman
• Rishard Matthews

The event continues to grow each year, and Michelle Stallone noted that the need for these potentially life-saving screenings is also increasing. “Without employer-sponsored health insurance, it’s incredibly challenging to afford coverage on your own. And even when you find affordable insurance, you may discover that few local physicians accept it—forcing you to travel far for care,” she explained.
Together, PinkBall and the Wine & Dine event raised an impressive $225,000. These proceeds benefit women across South Florida who are uninsured or underinsured, helping them access vital services such as mammograms, breast ultrasounds, breast MRIs, and breast biopsies.
“We guide them through the entire process if additional care is needed, and they trust that we’ll be there every step of the way,” Michelle says. “They know we’ll see it through to the very end—and then some.”
