Just over a year ago, Boca Raton Regional Hospital proudly opened the Toby and Leon Cooperman Medical Arts Pavilion—an exciting milestone in the hospital’s campus expansion and a cornerstone of our Keeping the Promise campaign. This state-of-the-art facility has significantly enhanced access to high-quality outpatient care, featuring an ambulatory surgery center and physician offices specializing in areas such as orthopedics, urology, and gastroenterology. It offers patients a streamlined and convenient setting for same-day procedures, diagnostics, and preventive care.
The Pavilion features five cutting-edge operating rooms for both outpatient and overnight procedures, along with 16 dedicated recovery bays. Since the beginning of the 2024 fiscal year on October 1, more than 21,000 patients have received care at the Pavilion. Since its opening in March 2024, over 2,500 surgical and clinical cases have been performed, underscoring its growing impact in the community.
Anthony Miniaci, M.D., Deputy Chief Medical Executive of Baptist Health Orthopedic Care, describes the Pavilion as “the hub for Baptist Health Orthopedic Care” and the premier destination for orthopedic care in Palm Beach County. A nationally recognized orthopedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine and complex joint reconstruction, Dr. Miniaci leads a team advancing patient outcomes through cutting-edge clinical research.
The Pavilion bears the name of Toby and Leon Cooperman, whose extraordinary lead gift to the Keeping the Promise campaign helped bring this transformative facility to life. Longtime champions of education, healthcare, and the arts, the Coopermans are among the nation’s most respected philanthropists. Their generosity to Boca Raton Regional Hospital reflects a deep commitment to ensuring access to world-class care in their community. As lead donors, the Coopermans’ vision and support continue to inspire others to invest in the future of healthcare.
Their gift, along with the generosity of many others to the Keeping the Promise campaign, reflects a shared vision for the future of care. Dedicated spaces throughout the Toby and Leon Cooperman Medical Arts Pavilion honor these gifts and preserve their legacy for generations to come.
