Leather - a symbol of style, elegance and power. Born from science, Nylon is man-made and can take many forms, including carbon fiber. And both offer the Rider excellent choices in protection and sophistication.
And more than a few of our customers have been asking which is better when it comes to safety while still looking the iptome of DILLIGAF. We at FX Caprara Harley-Davidson® have given the answer quite a bit of thought.
Obviously both Nylon and Leather have their pros, but when it comes to which better you might think leather offers more. And if you follow that line of thought, our answer might surprise you.
If you've taken the Basic Rider's Course and/or spent any amount of time riding a bike, you know that while riding you need to keep your head in the game. If you find yourself too hot or cold, hands freezing or sweat running down your back, you're no longer thinking about your ride.
In that, our answer to which is better for riding isn't Leather, nor is it Nylon. The best for riding is which ever will keep you most comfortable. Leather to keep you warm -but with venting to keep you cool, Nylon to keep you cool -but with quilted liners to keep you warm. Both will keep you safe.
And Alysha, Krissi, Loren and myself in our Motorclothes® can help you find the perfect jacket for just the type of riding to keep you protected and stylish.
